Most women don't come to my studio because everything fell apart, and they don't come because everything's perfect.

They come because they're standing on a threshold, a moment where they need to make a choice about who they want to be in life.

A divorce. A birthday with a number that startled them. A body that just did something enormous - grew a baby, lost a hundred pounds, survived the thing it wasn't supposed to survive. A marriage they finally walked out of. A year they're proud to still be here for.

In ten years and over 1,500 women, that's the thread. Not "I need fixing". Something closer to I made it to this point, and I want proof I was here.

That's what boudoir is.

Here is how it works:

One - You reach out

You send a message. If you're feeling a ton of nerves… good. That means you're pushing against your comfort threshold, and that's exactly where growth lives. You're not committing to anything yet. You're just saying maybe it's time.

Two - We hop on the phone

The best way for me to understand what a session means for you is to actually talk. A quick phone call lets me answer your questions in real time and understand how this could make your life better. We will go over what you are looking for, pricing and scheduling. If you decide you're ready while we're on the phone, we'll pick your date and time right then, together.

Three - Your design consultation

The part most studios skip, which is a shame, because it's where everything begins. Your consultation is where we plan and design your session, because boudoir isn't one-size-fits-all. Every session is built around the individual woman. We can do this in person, so you can see the studio and meet me before your shoot, or virtually if you're outside NWA.

We'll talk wardrobe, hair and makeup, how to prep, building a Pinterest board to plan, how you want to see yourself… and everything in between.

We’ll also go over the packages and products I offer. Because your photos were never meant to disappear into a random folder on your laptop. I specialize in albums - bound, hold-them-in-your-hands sexy books. Many women want digitals too, so we'll go over how those work. And more and more women are choosing wall art - not for the family photo wall, but as a private, daily reminder of what kind of woman they are becoming.

Four - Your session

My favorite part. My team glams you up with professional hair and makeup, so you don't have to think about getting ready, and then I guide you through every pose and every expression. You never have to wonder what to do with your hands or your face. My clients say it felt less like a photo shoot and more like a day with friends… because that's the point. We become friends, and somewhere in the middle of that, we also happen to take your photos. Plan on about four hours, start to finish.

Five - Your viewing

A week or two later, you'll come back to see your images for the first time. Most women tell me they're more nervous for this than the session itself.

And then the slideshow starts.

I've watched it happen hundreds of times. The nerves vanish, and something else takes over. Some women go quiet. Some laugh out of pure disbelief. A lot of them cry. And nearly every single one says some version of the same four words: "I can't believe that's me."

But here's the truth I'll tell you at your viewing: it is you. It was always you. You just lost track of her.

This is also where we finalize how she comes home with you - your album, your digitals, the wall piece you didn't think you'd be brave enough to hang. I'll walk you through every option and make the decisions easy, and once you've chosen, I'll handle the rest and order your artwork.
