Angela Blake Studios opened its doors in 2016, shortly after I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Creative Writing. What began as a love for words evolved into something even more powerful: telling women’s stories through the art of photography.
Since then, nearly 1,500 women have trusted me to capture their essence—each one with her own story, shape, age, and history. My mission has always been to create a space where every woman feels safe, seen, celebrated, and completely herself. A place where vulnerability becomes strength, courage leads to confidence, and self-image transforms into something deeply positive.
Storytelling has always been my greatest joy. As a child, I imagined myself as a writer or publisher—someone who would live her life telling meaningful stories. And while that prediction wasn’t wrong, I found my true medium not in pages, but in photographs.
In 2011, my husband gifted me my first digital camera. I began photographing everything—newborns, families, weddings—and while the images were beautiful, something felt incomplete. I realized I was longing for something more personal, more connected. I wasn’t just looking to take pictures. I wanted to tell stories.
Then, I discovered boudoir.
Boudoir became the space where everything came together: photography, storytelling, and soulful connection. Each session is a beautiful narrative—one that allows women to rediscover their elegance, reclaim their confidence, and see themselves in a powerful new light. It’s a privilege to witness that transformation, and to create portraits that feel as meaningful as they are lovely.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me with my husband, our three children, and our five beloved pets—usually on a hike or gathered around a board game. I still read every book I can get my hands on, and write whenever the house is quiet (which isn’t super often).
